The Steve Morgan Foundation recently provided a grant to Chesnut School in Widnes for their sensory garden, which we completed for them.

Their funding is quite specific, in that they only fund special needs schools or charities that help the disabled or disadvantaged communities.  There is a regional criteria of North Wales, Merseyside, Cheshire (west of M6) and North Shropshire.

Information – Applications are welcomed from not for profit organisations or charities working with people with disabilities and special needs schools when the equipment is not available through statutory funding.

Enable funding for organisations is for communal benefit. Typically, but not exclusively it may comprise :

• Sensory and Immersive Rooms.
• Outdoor sensory gardens and play equipment
• Disabled access sports and play equipment.

Organisations must be based in Merseyside, Cheshire (west of M6), North Wales or North Shropshire. The grants are discretionary and they are unable to meet every request.

Essential Criteria:

• The equipment is supplied for the sole use of the organisation and their beneficiaries.
• You must have valid Public Liability Insurance.
• If the application is successful the organisation becomes the owner of the equipment.

How Much Can Be Applied For – Small Enable equipment grants under £15,000 or major Enable equipment grants over £15,000.
