Cwm Cadnant Community Council contacted us and asked us to refurbish the play areas in Llansadwrn as part of an overall project to refurbish two playgrounds.
PlayQuest was appointed to provide a playground refurbishment that would benefit the local community for years to come. The result is a durable and long-lasting play environment that the local community can be incredibly proud of.
The Challenge
There was existing timber equipment that require removal and replacing. The Community Council required a solution that would:
- Remove and responsibly dispose of the old timber play equipment
- Introduce modern, durable equipment
- Deliver maximum play value within budget
- Minimise disruption to the local community during installation
The finished result needed to feel like a clear upgrade both visually and practically.
Our solution
We agreed a plan with the Community Council that included both new play equipment and remedial works to the existing Wetpour surfacing.
We supplied and installed:
- A Toddler Playboat with HDPE Slide
- An Imagination Station with 4 Interactive Game Panels
- Wetpour remedial works carried out in Red to add some colour to the surfacing area.
All new equipment was manufactured from timber with steel feet added to the uprights – offering a robust, attractive and durable play environment.
The entire project was completed in just 3 days with very minimal disruption to the local residents during the installation period.
The outcome
The transformation was immediate. The refreshed play area now provides an area for imaginative play and social interaction.
The Community Council and locals are delighted with the finished result.
